Q: What is Pied Piper Radio?
A: Pied Piper Radio is a one hour radio program that features music for kids and families. We currently produce twelve episodes of PPR per year- six episodes in our spring/summer season, and six in our fall/winter season.
Q: Where do you get the music you play on Pied Piper Radio?
A: Lots of places! We check out some titles from the local library. Others come from yard sales, antique stores or second hand record stores. Sometimes friends lend us their records. Many other titles are sent directly to us from the artists who created them, or their representatives. When possible, we provide a link on our playlist to the artist's website or to a retail outlet where you can hear, and purchase if you'd like, more of their work.
Q: For what age child is your program intended?
A: Pied Piper Radio is intended for all ages. We consider ourselves more of a family show, than a children's show. Everything we play is suitable for children, but also has adult appeal. We play music from many genres and eras, and are particulary fond of music made by children.
Q: How can I get Pied Piper Radio for my local radio station?
A: Pied Piper Radio is available for syndication through Public Radio Exchange. Any non-commercial FM station that would like to include PPR as part of its programming may do so, free of charge. If you'd like, you can send us an email and let us know the station's call letters and location; we would be glad to contact the station and let them know you've expressed an interest.
